I did mine, and my 850, with the kits from the site, which only cost a little more than the alternator alone, fits and works very well, with correct pulley. The alternators also charge right from idle, no need to rev them up to get them going.
Anyone have a wiring diagram that shows the proper way to wire an 8N with a 12V conversion and a 1-wire alternator? I suspect mine has a short or was not wired right to begin with. Had both the alternator and batt. tested. Both A-ok, except I have to recharge battery after using tractor 2 or 3 times, or else it won't start tractor. Duke
