I have used 3 lots of chain over the years - Oregon, Husqvarna, and some unknown chain bagged in plain bags I got a good price on from a dealer in the PNW. The McCulloch sp125 is just about at its best at 175 psi / depending on which type combustion chamber you have. The Poulan 71A is just about at its best at 135psi and will still run on 90psi. Compression is relative to a lot of factors to that particular engine. I have a promac 800 and it has 180psi.

1&1 on the carb. Idle = 2800. Max = 12500. Idle speed + Spec / lean drop off = 3300. On mine I have a slot cut in the steel that will fit just about every saw ever made. Now all you need is a two jaw puller. And in a couple days it is going to be a modded huge belly bar 7900. I have 1 guy running a 42 inch bar with skip tooth chain on a modded 7900 with no problems.
